Sara Dobson
Clinical Psychologist and FHG Founder

Sara Dobson has been fully registered since 2000. She has completed undergraduate and postgraduate degrees in psychology and is a member of the College of the Australian Psychological Society’s Clinical and Educational and Developmental Psychologists.

Sara has extensive experience working with children, adolescents and adults across a diverse range of emotional difficulties, including anxiety disorders, eating disorders, depression and other mood disorders, self-esteem, stress management, trauma, parenting issues, post-natal anxiety & depression, learning and behavioural difficulties.

Sara has worked both in the United Kingdom and in Melbourne with individuals, groups and families in the management of eating disorders. She was involved in the development and management of Butterfly Day Eating Disorder Day Program, a specialist day treatment program.

Sara is practical in delivering a diverse range of treatment modalities. She strongly believes in a person-centred approach. Collaborative approach to therapy and excellence in client care.

Sara established her private practice in 2008. She has established a large network of referring general practitioners and specialists who provide a consistent stream of clients for treatment. She also receives a large number of “word of mouth” clients from former clients and their families.
