Amy is an Occupational Therapist with a passion for working alongside people living with persistent pain, connective tissue disorders (such as EDS and hypermobility) fatigue, autonomic conditions and various other invisible illnesses. Amy’s interest in pain science, invisible illness and chronic health conditions stems not only from her professional training and workplace experience, but also from her own personal journey with persistent pain, fatigue, hypermobility and dysautonomia.
Amy has worked in a variety of areas including public inpatient and outpatient settings, and private practice. In the public setting, Amy has worked in acute mental health, extended mental health care units, eating disorders and pain management clinics, whilst in private practice working with a diverse range of conditions within the pain and invisible illness space. Amy currently also works in a public hospital pain clinic.
Amy values authenticity, compassion, and curiosity, with a belief that therapy should feel safe, collaborative and connected in what matters most to you. It’s not just about managing symptoms, but about supporting you to find ways to live a meaningful and fulfilling life, even in the presence of pain, fatigue, connective tissue disorders, autonomic dysfunction or sensory overload.
